For my bully project I decided to do cliques at school. The "Nerdy" kids, the "Losers", the "Cool" kids, the "Weird" kids and the "Popular" kids tables at the cafeteria sit in there certain places. I also have made a piece of art that has texture and curved lines. I focused on creating unique and original artwork. I tried not to look at Pinterest as much as I did during 1st Quarter in order to create original artwork. For the Bully Project I started with the first picture and blending making the circles, then I just starting adding color where there was no color to add emotion to the project I used complementary colors around the circles and added black to contrast that. In the second piece of art I did the same thing I just kept painting where there was no paint. I added more layers and I used many different colors too.
In class I have been working on painting. I solved problems because when I painted over the blue with pink and yellow it was not as bright as I wanted it to be. After I let it dry a little bit, I was able to paint over it so that it had a brighter color. After I got it to the color that I liked I made the colors fade into the blue.
I have found inspiration from a painting called, Autumn by: Yokoyama Taikan. I like that you have too closely look to see if it is paint or not. The way that the artist painted it looks really smooth. I connect to this because when I paint I like to paint nature themed paintings. I think that this artist uses his art mediums in a unique way by keeping everything smooth unlike have more textures. It looks like there are textures but it is actually smooth. The elements in his art are most strongly used are contrast and movement.
