During the 3rd quarter so far Jenna and I have been focusing on piñatas. What I have learned from this artwork is to develop my art making skills. To make the piñata first we blew up a balloon and tried to make it into a circular shape for the most part. Then we started with the regular white paper mache and made about a layer and a half by dipping it into water and then placing it onto the balloon. When we found out that the art room had colored paper mache we took the yellow and put another few layers on. We let a little hole so that we will be able to put the candy in it later on. We chose to make this project because it was the day that our teacher Mrs. Bailey showed us how to use the paper mache station. We are letting it dry for another day until we make our project look like a softball. While we are waiting for the 1st project to dry we started another one with all the colors we could find. In this project we focused on form, we tried to make a stable form that could hold candy or paper in it. This is also a 3 dimensional figure the yellow one is more thick then the colorful.
